I was sooooooo happy when I opened my letterbox and found the latest issue of Mollie Makes!! It's a wonderful craft magazine.. everything about sewing, knitting, crocheting and more! See, it comes with free pearl buttons too!
They will have a few featured tutorials every month, though not a lot but what I really love about this magazine is that it introduces and showcases lots of different handmade artists in US and Europe, plus online stores where you can get your materials. You know how limited the craft materials are in Singapore, but thanks to internet and Mollie Makes, we can now buy online (but shipping is really expensive too :x)
I always feel extremely small and my handmades are super boring after seeing all the featured artists' works and their studios in the magazine, but of coz this is where lots of my inspirations come from too. I have yet to visit all the websites I noted down from the previous issue and now I have a new one. Let me slowly explore and I will share with you the awesome websites found inside ;) By the way, this magazine can be found in Singapore, the very first issue I bought was from Plaza Singapura (the newspaper and magazine store very near the purple line MRT station walkway). It costs $17.90, I think if you buy online and subscribe whole year it's a bit cheaper and they deliver it to your house!
Anyway, last night as I was doing the usual 'pinning' on my Pinterest, I found a pretty good website: http://www.purlbee.com/ it has a lot of do-able sewing/knitting/crocheting tutorials and the instructions are laid out in a very clear manner. The best thing about it is if you need any material mentioned in the tutorial, just clicked on the material's name it will link to their online material shop http://www.purlsoho.com/ and you can buy it!! They do ship internationally but shipping cost.. hmm..
But these websites really worth taking a look if you want to handmade something simple, useful and nice! I can't wait to try on some of the projects!!!!
